- On average, new build houses are 66% more energy efficient, translating to potential savings of up to £183 a month or £2,195 a year in energy bills.
- Properties built to new sustainability regulations from June 2023 onwards are estimated to save homeowners over £2,000 annually, with houses specifically saving up to £2,575 per year.
- The majority (85%) of new build homes achieve an impressive A or B Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating, a stark contrast to the less than 5% of older properties meeting this standard.
