Energy Efficient New Homes
On average, new build houses are 66% more energy efficient, saving homeowners up to £183 a month in energy bills, that's a saving of £2,195 a year.
By purchasing a new home with enhanced energy efficiency, rather than an older, less energy-efficient house, our customers are saving 576,000 tonnes of carbon emissions, meaning that they are doing their bit to reduce the country’s greenhouse gas emissions. Less energy is used and less is wasted, meaning your energy bills could be up to 66% lower.
In May 2024, the Home Builders Federation (HBF) has published research which finds that owners of new homes will save an average of £183 a month in energy bills. The average new build energy bill is 57% cheaper than running costs for older properties, meaning new homeowners could save up to £1,685 a year.
All of our energy-efficient new homes come with electric car charging points, an excellent standard of insulation, and carry an energy efficiency rating of A or B compared to less than 5% of older properties.
Energy-efficient timber frame homes
Many of our new homes for sale have been built with a timber frame construction. This innovative approach ensures high-performing insulation within the timber frame, as opposed to traditional cavity insulation, creating modern homes that are not only easy to heat and cosy to live in but also environmentally friendly. By utilising less energy, incorporating renewable resources, and reducing the carbon footprint, these energy-efficient new homes have been designed to be both efficient and sustainable.
