St. Augustine CEC Primary School in Scaynes Hill is a just under a 6 minute walk or 2 minute drive and has been rated ‘GOOD’ by Ofsted in 2018.

Eating Out

The local family-run village pub, The Farmers, located just next door to the development, hits the spot for those who like a traditional pub with a quirky edge. The Farmers offers home cooked food, wine, local and national ales. A stone’s throw away, is the market town of Haywards Heath with plenty of high street shops, cafés, restaurants, supermarkets and services including a weekly market.

Entertainment

If you fancy dipping your toes in the English Channel, the hustle and bustle of cosmopolitan Brighton is only 40 minutes by car and hosts many quirky independent shops and bars, but if you are travelling to warmer climates Gatwick is approximately 30 minutes by car, making it an ideal location for a last minute getaway!

The countryside Scaynes Hill offers is considered one of its biggest attractions with its rolling Wealden hills, pastures and woodland. There are numerous public footpaths and walking trails which will mean access to the countryside is quite literally on your doorstep. For the budding botanist there are plenty of stunning gardens, parks and woodlands to see. Borde Hill is home to 200 acres with stunning views across the Sussex High Weald. Or why not visit Wakehurst, home to botanic gardens owned by the National Trust. The garden covers 500 acres of land and includes walled and water gardens, woodland and wetland conservation areas.

Shopping

Lindfield, approximately 5 minutes by car, is a beautiful medieval town with timber-framed houses and is home to independent and boutique shops. It’s the perfect location for a Sunday afternoon stroll and afternoon tea! The service station adjacent to the development offers a mini-market for all of your essentials and your nearest supermarket is just down the road in Haywards Heath.

Transport

Regular direct trains from Haywards Heath station means you can be in central London in less than hour. The bus links are within minutes from Scaynes Hill to Haywards Heath with the bus stop directly opposite The Swallows development. The Prince Royal Hospital is just a 4 minute drive.
